The most simplest response would be because I love Grey’s
Anatomy. I remember the first time I watched it years ago when the first season
started and it reminded me so much of the medical drama I watched as a kid named
ER. I think the reason it captured my eye was more of the medical side at first
but I couldn’t help but get caught up in the drama as well. That’s what makes
this show so interesting though it involved something I loved which was the
medical part. Ever since I was younger I had always been fascinated by all
things medical and this show has taught me more about something I hoped to one
day be a part of. Grey’s Anatomy not only taught me more about the career I
wanted to go into it also helped me figure out what exactly I wanted to go
into. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, and it teaches me as well as it
entertains me of course. I’ve been a fan since day one and over these past 11
going on 12 seasons I’ve seen people grow, die, grieve, learn, change, and so
much more. I think that’s also another reason I picked this topic I have seen
all these stories from the show and it’s something I know I could have endless
posts to write about from telling about my favorite characters, to how I felt
about a certain situation that happened on the show, the loss of one of my
favorite characters, a medical procedure that I found interesting, what
happened on this week’s episode, some grey’s terminology, how grey’s affected
my future career and so much more. I know I could have wrote my blog about
anything and I picked Grey’s Anatomy because it’s not just some show I watch
just for entertainment it actually has real life situations and health problems
that people face. It may not be the most realistic view into the medical field but
it does give you a slight view of what it’s like and some of the things that
could be faced. The stories about fight, hope, happiness and everything in
between reminds me of why I want to be an Rn. Just like Derek Shepherd (Patrick
Dempsey) said “It’s a beautiful day to save lives” I know that I want to be
someone that helps saves the lives of those who are sick and in need. I want to
help people get better, I want to make an impact in the lives of others and I
want it to be my career. For that reason, I picked this topic because Grey’s
Anatomy has shown me even more on who I want to become.

I am interested in the topic you have chosen because i too LOVE Grey's Anatomy. I had no idea what it was until sometime during my sophomore year of high school, a friend had told me about it so i literally went home that summer and spent a lot of my time watching all seasons. I absolutely love this show and all the emotions it brings. i have always had interest in the medical field but i believe that this show has helped further influences my career choice.
